The CRC Hannover, which opened in 2014, maximizes benefits for patients by enabling leading academic experts to pool their expertise and collaborate. Three legally independent research organizations are now working at the CRC Hannover under one roof. While clinical investigators of the Hannover Medical School and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine conduct early-phase clinical trials of new drugs and medical devices, researchers of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research are conducting a part of Germany’s largest health study, known as the “German National Cohort”. These three partners share CRC Hannover’s unique infrastructure, which includes outpatient clinics, overnight facilities, advanced medical equipment, magnetic resonance imaging systems, and a state-of-the-art biobank for storing biological samples.
What unites us is our dedication to becoming one of Europe’s leading centers for patient-oriented translational medicine.
